Bike Hire Agreement: Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions form part of the Agreement made between Telford Bike Hub and the hirer.

Payment & Cancellation:
Payment for the full period of bike hire must be made in advance including any deposits required. Cancellations must be made at least 3 days prior to hire; no refunds will be given after this point no matter the reason.

Collections & Returns:
Any bikes that are not collected within 15 minutes of the pre-booked time slot (unless by prior arrangement) will be deemed as not required by the hirer and will be returned to storage. Refunds will not be made.
Unless previously agreed, all bikes/equipment must be returned by within the hire period. If equipment is returned late a charge of £20 per hour will be charged. Full or partial refunds will not be given for the early return of hire bikes under any circumstances including adverse weather conditions.
In the unlikely event that the bike you have booked be unavailable for hire for whatever reason, the bike will be substituted with the nearest alternative, excluding e-bikes or a refund will be issued.

Liability in case of Accident:
Telford Bike Hub does not provide cover nor accepts any liability to third parties for damage caused to others or their property. It is recommended you have adequate insurance cover or ensure that you are covered by your own personal insurance policy. It is recommended that you carry personal identification and insurance documents whilst cycling.
Telford Bike Hub does not accept any liability for any damage caused or injury to the hirer during the hire period. We recommend that helmets are always worn whilst cycling and are available for free from Telford Bike Hub. We advise that all cyclists ride within their own capabilities and fitness levels.
We recommend that all clients carry a mobile whilst cycling. Telford Bike Hub number is 01952 380413. For emergency services contact 999.

Rental Bikes and Equipment:
All the bikes are regularly maintained and inspected prior to each hiring. It is the hirer’s responsibility to double check the bike and report any damage prior to setting off. By accepting the bike(s)/ equipment the hirer accepts that they are in safe, clean, and good technical condition and must be returned in the same condition. Bikes and equipment hired remain the property of Telford Bike Hub.
The hirer is obliged to take all precautions necessary to protect bikes/equipment from damage or theft.
On return a representative of Telford Bike Hub will examine the bikes/equipment and if there is no damage or loss will confirm the cancellation of any deposit taken. If for any reason a full inspection cannot be undertaken on bike(s)/equipment return, Telford Bike Hub reserves the right to inform clients within seven days any damage found and invoice the hirer accordingly.
Should any damage (such as scratches to the frame, dents, breakages etc) be sustained to the bike or components during the hire period, the hirer is responsible for the full replacement cost at current market price of the whole or part of the bike if damaged. The hirer is responsible for the full replacement cost of the bike/equipment if it is lost or stolen during the hire period. It is recommended that the hire bike is kept in sight at all times.
Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Road and hybrid bikes must not be used on mountain bike trails.
Bikes returned in an extremely muddy condition will incur an additional cleaning charge of £10.00 per bike. This charge will be at the discretion of Telford Bike Hub.

Group Bookings:
The hirer is fully responsible for the welfare of all the bikes in a group booking, if any of the bikes are damaged or stolen the hirer is responsible for all costs incurred.

Adverse Weather Conditions… Red Warning and emergency situations:
Only in very severe weather, as designated by the Met Office RED warning, for the area of Telford and Wrekin will Telford Bike Hub be closed for bike hire. In such circumstances any bookings for bike hire will be refunded in full.
